Construction of an entirely new route of Aheloy by-pass road – part of the First class road I-9 road Sunny Beach – Burgas

On 15.10.2017 “Trace Group Hold” Plc signed a contract for a project: “Road I-9 “Sunny beach – Burgas”, section Aheloy by-pass road from km 207+726,37 to km 212+233.06”.

During the execution of the section, which is 4.5 km long a new overpass over the route of the first-class road link between the village of Tankovo ​​and Aheloy and a roundabout for connection with Kableshkovo and Aheloy were built. A bridge over Aheloy River was built with a reinforced concrete construction in a prefabricated monolithic construction with beams and pilot foundation, as well as a collector system for drainage of the lane road.  

The project was completed 4 months ahead of schedule and put into operation on 15.06.2018, before the start of the tourist season in 2018. It was solemnly opened with wishes for a trouble-free trip in the presence of the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borissov and other official guests.

The implementation of the project safely brought transit traffic outside of Aheloy city, thus avoiding congestion and ensuring the safety of all road users. During the active tourist season the traffic is about 30 000 cars per day.
