Construction of Scientific and Technology Park

Engineering (design and construction) of site "Experiments area and visiting center with pedestrian bridge", part of the project "Scientific and Technology Park"

The project is realized by OP "Development of the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economics" 2007-2013, priority axis 1: "Economics development, based on knowledge and innovative operations", according to contract with identification number BG161PO003-1.2.05-0001-С000.

The site realization incorporates the design and construction of experiments area and visitors center with pedestrian bridge. The site has strategic location in the Scientific and Technological park and has the function of entrance and distribution center for the entire complex.

The function of the building is to meet and provide information for the people visiting the Scientific and Technological park and to provide exhibition area. It will have a total build-up area of 3,787 sq. m. and will comprise of underground level, intermediate level and two exposition levels, located in park environment along Tsarigradsko shose Blvd.

The pedestrians bridge is located above "Tsarigradsko shose" Blvd. and has a length of 126.5 m. It will provided the required connection for the visitors with the main directions of the city transport and will provide comfortable crossing of the boulevard for bicyclers and pedestrians. It is going to be equipped with staircase cells and elevators for disabled individuals.

The site is constructed by Union "Expo Tech Park", where a leading partner is "Trace Group Hold" PLC with partners "Planex" OOD and "Ivo Petrov Architects" OOD.

The future technological part is located at the territory of the former military unit at "Fourth kilometre" in the capital. It is provided a scientific and research infrastructure to in assistance of the Bulgarian innovative business to be operational in Sofia after 2015 and 20,000 sq.m of new and renovated building areas to be constructed. The scientific and technological park will have applied research laboratories, common incubator, innovative lecture, educational, discussion forums, places for demonstration of new technologies, parking lot and green pedestrian areas.
