TRACE signed contract for railway project implementation in Serbia

On December 28th 2019, Trace Group Hold PLC signed a contract for the implementation of: "Modernization and rehabilitation of Niš - Brestovac railway section” in Republic of Serbia.

The value of the contract is EUR 59 850 000.

The project is co-financed by the European Union in accordance with the rules of Regulation (EU) No 231/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of March 11th 2014 establishing an Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II) and the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The section belongs to the south part of the pan-European Corridor X and bears great importance for the regional and international transport. 

 

The contractor is “TRACE BALKANTEL” Joint Venture consisted by Trace Group Hold PLC (leading partner - 85%) and Balkantel Ltd. (15%).

The contracting authority is the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia.

The term for implementation is 1005 calendar days.

Within the project scope will be carried out rehabilitation of the railway line from Niš station´s exit to the entrance of Brestovac, with a length of 23 km.

 

The project activities are divided into two sections:

Section 1: Railway from the exit of Niš station -244 + 600 to the exit of Belotince station-km 254 + 959, plus telecommunications and signaling from Niš station km 243 + 500 to km 254 + 959

Section 2: Railway from the exit of Belotince station - km 254 + 959 to the entrance of Brestovac station - km 267 + 432, plus telecommunications and signaling from 254 + 959 to Brestovac station km 267 + 903.
